The freestanding VDH Letterbox Unit is the solution when there is no space in the facade to install a standard VDH Letterbox. The freestanding VDH Letterbox Unit is installed on site on a concrete element.
The VDH Letterbox is made of high-quality stainless steel (AISI 316), making it resistant to all weather conditions.
The steel unit in which the VDH Letterbox is mounted is powder coated and can be supplied in various RAL colours.
In combination with the stainless steel front of the VDH Letterbox, this creates a modern look.
The freestanding VDH Letterbox Unit is fitted with an anti-fireworks lock so that the flap can be temporarily locked.
Especially for banks, a VDH Combination Letterbox is also available that incorporates not only a letterbox, but also a separate payment order box.
The payment orders are deposited separately via a small slot and cannot be angled out due to the anti-angling teeth fitted.
Mail and payment orders are collected separately in separate collection bins.
The Money and Value Storage Association (VGW) recommends that safes, up to a weight of 1,000 kg should be properly anchored so that they provide sufficient resistance to being taken away quickly. In 91% of burglaries where a safe is found, it was taken rather than opened on the spot.

The heavy-duty anchor has a higher pull-out value than the segment anchor, sits tightly in the anchoring hole, and can be dismantled after assembly, making it extremely suitable for safes with floor and wall anchoring.

The anchor rod with chemical paste has the highest pull-out value and does not cause tension in the floor and/or wall. The glass tubes with anchor rods can be installed without special tools. All you need is a drill and a hammer.

When floor and wall anchoring both require chemical anchoring, we recommend using anchor rods with chemical paste in the floor and an anchor rod with chemical sleeve for the back. Assembly of the chemical sleeve requires special tools and can only be carried out by Van den Hoven.

In mechanical anchoring by Van den Hoven, heavy-duty anchors are used as standard. Chemical anchoring uses anchor rods with chemical paste with a higher pull-out value than glass impact anchors as standard.
Proper anchoring of the safe is only possible with a proper foundation. Choose a suitable place for your safe on a concrete floor and/or against a concrete wall. For lighter safes, anchoring in the floor and wall is best. Also take into account the dismantling of the safe. Dismantling is always possible except when anchoring to the floor and wall using regular anchors. Dismantling with floor and wall anchoring is only possible if you also choose anchoring with the chemical sleeve. Safes that are only anchored to the floor or wall can always be dismantled.
All VDH safes under 1,000 kg are fitted as standard with at least two anchoring holes in the floor. We recommend chemically anchoring your safe because this gives the highest pull-out value and because these anchors are placed tension-free.
