Van den Hoven has been supplying new and used safes to a variety of customers for decades. These include financial institutions, government organisations, national and international retailers and jewellers, as well as small businesses and private individuals.
In 1954, merchant N.A. van den Hoven was asked to look for a new safe for a local church. When he found a suitable safe, he decided to take over the church's old safe and look for potential buyers. A decision that would change his life forever. Van den Hoven managed to sell the safe to the Boerenleenbank (today's Rabobank) and noticed that there were
more and more demand came for safes with burglary and fire-resistant properties.
In 1957, Van den Hoven started his company 'Brandkastenfabriek Van den Hoven' in Barendrecht. His sound commercial spirit ensured that the young company quickly grew into a successful business with an extensive and loyal clientele.
In 2002, Van den Hoven started a subsidiary in Vietnam: VDH SAFES SAIGON CO. Ltd. This branch is also certified and operates in accordance with European NEN-EN ISO 9001: 2015 standards. This allows us to outsource part of the production while guaranteeing our high quality standards.
