In 91% of cases, the safe is taken in burglaries. The Money and Value Storage Association (VGW) therefore recommends that safes weighing up to 1,000 kg should be properly anchored. Van den Hoven's safes under 1,000 kg are provided as standard with at least two anchoring holes for anchoring to a (concrete) floor. We recommend anchoring your safe chemically because this gives the highest pull-out value and because the anchors can then be installed tension-free.
You can choose mechanical or chemical anchoring. For mechanical anchoring, we use heavy-duty anchors with a pull-out value of 900 kg. The pull-out value of the mechanical segment anchors supplied free of charge is 560 kg. Chemical anchoring, with anchor rods coated with chemical paste, offers the highest pull-out value at 1600 kg.
